Good question...
The silk-like softness of our fabric is translated into Lyocell, which is one of the most sustainable materials of the 21st century with an award-winning recycling system that recovers and reuses water.
In addition to an environmentally friendly manufacturing process, Lyocell is made from fast-growing trees that are less water-intensive than cotton and use less land to grow on.
Botanical origin
Only certified sustainable forestry is used for our products. More than half of the trees come from Austrian forests. The rest comes from neighbouring countries in Central Europe.
TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres are produced by the state-of-the-art producer Lenzing in Austria.
The wood is mostly produced by thinning timber, which is a method used in sustainable forest management. As a result, wood that is unsuitable for high-end products like furniture finds a useful purpose in our soft and smooth bedding and towels.
